HELLO and welcome to my blog. I have studied Decorative Arts at Nottingham Trent University for 3 years, where I have chosen to specialise in ceramics. The course incorporated other such things which I tried and enjoyed such as glass and textiles. I have always been a creative person and always enjoyed making my own accessories and cards. (see below).

My ceramic pieces are inspired by boats that I have drawn in Spain and various docks around England, they conisist of three techniques: Wheel Throwing, Slab Building and Press Moulding. The pots that I slab build and wheel throw are connected together in a collection that I like to call "Docked Pots"©, this collection consists of thrown pots, saucers and my very own "Tilted Pots"©. I slab build tall pots that also go with this collection. Some of the thrown pots are made into cups and put onto saucers for the humerous cup and saucer combo. I use the press mould to make plates that i sgraffito my drawings onto.

I make my handmade accessories using various objects such as belt buckles, hair clips and curtain rings, and decorating them with ribbon, buttons, thread, wire and paper.
